Farm Wages in the United States.
A statement of the rate of wages of farm labourers in the United States is made in the report of the Commissioner of Agriculture for May. 'Of California,' observes the San Francisco Bulletin, ' the report says there was an extraordinary advance in wages from ISG6 to 18G9. Since that date the decline has been gradual and comparatively uniform, and for threo years, although the movement has been, upward everywhere except on the Pacific Coast, at the same time the wages are higher theiet than in any other State in the Union, theVverage rate being 3Cdol 2ocents per month without, board and 23d0l 45cents with board, as against. 23d0l G3cents without board and 15dol Slßcents; with board in New York.
