Wm, .Anderson writes :-Ra Anonitis asking leave to comment on riddles : if the comments are not under some restriction they will bo the means of what I have already found out, viz., keeping beginners out of the field. lam in favour of, say, questions askdd and the contributor's reply. Beyond that I say no fuither comments.
W. Don writes : I think that it would be advisable to allow short comments, as it would serve to show contributors what sort of riddles were most appreciated ; and also, help to raise the standard of contributions.
J. Davidson writes :— I quite approve of the comments of the riddles, to run on for a while. Adonitis sends the following as a specimen of the manner in which the comments m ght appear : — 2058 (vorv neat, 8); 2959 (ingenious, 8); 2902 (good, but rhythm rugged, 7); 296 1 (well-selected, 7). The sixth and ninth of No. 2955 are partly incorrect :— M is in •miss,' and S is in ' sea' and not in 'ocean.'
