PRINCE ALFRED is a bright bay, 17 hands high, with immense bone and muscular power, and fine temper ; up to 17 ston« across country. Got by Boiardo (imported) by Orlando, winner of the English Derby, out of Miss Alfred, by King Alfred, by Pyrrhus, another winner of the English Derby. The result of last and present season's racing in Victoi-ia will show this horse's strain of blood well to the front ; while his own stock in Otago are all powerful, fast, and well grown. The produce of this horse are in good demand, and command large prices — in fact, are not procurable. £20 a head has been offered and refused for every colt foal of his dropped this season.
