An intprestin..- meeting took place in the Soboolhouse, Inch Clutha, on Monday ovening last, in connection with the Inch Clutha

and Kaitangata Total Abstinence Society, ' the proceeds of which were devoted to the Volunteers of tho district. Some excellent aud well selected readings were given by Mesbrs J. M airland, W. Ferguson, James Smai'l, and — Johnston ; and Miss Darling and Miss Brewer sang several excellent songs in. a very crcditabld manner. Mies Darling, at uhe- harmonium, also contriouted considerably towards the evening's entertainment. The weather was all that could be desned, and the moon being full, many partibb came a lout; distance.
