Welch's Trooper '— s< At the close of the second heat, a protest was made by the owner of Jack Tar, • the* rider alleging that when both horses were at the first hurde,< the rider of Volunteer jostled his horse, and thereby pushed it to the side of the hurdleithu3 preventing it from leaping.
