I BIG MILEAGE COVERED. Iu his report for the year ended March 31st, 1934, Inspector Guinan gives the following particulars of time and travelling devoted by him to health and sanitation duties in the Horowhenua district:— The time devoted to each Local Authority was: Horowhenua County Council, 61 days; Shannon Borough Council, 43 days; Otaki Borough Council, 39 days; Levin Borough Council, 136 days. The amount of mileage run in attending to the district work was:— Otaki, 1273 miles; Shannon, 943 miles; Horowhenua County, 1152 miles. ’ The localities visited were: Akers Road 1, Opiki 3, Tokomaru 4, Makerua 6, Kingston Road 3, Shannon Borough 38, Poplar Camp 1, Old Foxton Road 1, Buckley 3, Ihakara 1, Ar.apaepae Road 2, Queen Street Extension 9, Queen Street West 1, Gladstone Road 2, Kawiu 5, Roslyn Road 2, Koputaroa 3, Poroutawliao 1, Waitarere and Beach 1, Foxton Road 2, Foxton (Matakarapa Pa) 1, Lindsay Road 1, Beach Road 16, Hokio and Beach 3, Weraroa Settlement 1, Tararua Road 7, Kimberley Road 3, Ohau 4, Muhunoa East 1, Muhunoa West 3, Ohau West 1, Kuku 8, Manakau 10, Waitoliu and Valley 8, Rahui Road 1, Otaki Borough 39, Pukekaraka 1, Te Horo Beach 2, Te Horo 4, Waikanae and Beach 5, Reikorangi 2, Hautere Cross 2.
