Air. and Airs. E. Irvine, now in Sydney, are having- -a most enjoyable time. The weather has been delightful.
Air. D. F. Alclntyre, Government Inspector of Machinery, is at present visiting this district.
A pretty wedding was celebrated, at All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, August 13th, when Mabel Florence, daughter of Mr. and Airs. I. D. S. Cooksley, of Mangnwhata, was married to Horace Alfred, son of Air. and Airs. C. F. Richardson, also of Aiangawliata.
The death occurred at Wellington last evening of Air. Cyril Leslie Varnham, son of Air. and Mrs. AI. R. Varn--Imm, of Levin. The deceased, who was 33 years of age, was born iu Grey town, and was well-known in theatrical circles, lie leaves a wife and two children.
