Mr. X. Clarke, late of Otaki. is at present seriously ill in Boweu Street hospital, Wellington. Mr. W. 11. Bowden is at present,in Christehitrch, while .Mrs. Bowden is in Foxton on holiday. Sir Trilby King and Miss King, who hav,, been on a lour of Croat Britain, returned to Wellington by the Limited express from Auckland yesterday. Mr. L. H. Arctic headmaster of Ohau School, has been appointed to succeed Mr. .1. Noble as headmaster of l.ansdowne School, Mnsterton. The Wedding took place at All Saints' Church to-,lav of Miss Edith Mvrtle Wvatt, daughter of -Mr. and Mrs. H. .1. Wyatt, of Otaki, and -Mr. Donald Maonab.
