Mr. X. Clarke, late of Otaki. is at present seriously ill in Boweu Street hospital, Wellington. Mr. W. 11. Bowden is at present,in Christehitrch, while .Mrs. Bowden is in Foxton on holiday. Sir Trilby King and Miss King, who hav,, been on a lour of Croat Britain, returned to Wellington by the Limited express from Auckland yesterday. Mr. L. H. Arctic headmaster of Ohau School, has been appointed to succeed Mr. .1. Noble as headmaster of l.ansdowne School, Mnsterton. The Wedding took place at All Saints' Church to-,lav of Miss Edith Mvrtle Wvatt, daughter of -Mr. and Mrs. H. .1. Wyatt, of Otaki, and -Mr. Donald Maonab. The death occurred a: the Otaki Hospital on Saturday of Allan, lite infant son of Mr. and ' 'Mrs. G. Morton, of Mauakau, aged 1." months. The little fellow, who was suffering from pneumonia, was only admitted during the day. Word was received, in Shannon on Saturday thai Mr \V. Murdoch, for many years a resident and .Mayor of Shaunoii is seriously ill in Wellington suffering from double pneumonia. Mr Harry .Murdoch (iris sou) left for Wellington on Saturday evening. After being residents of Shannon for the pas; twelve years, Mr and Mrs K. Bishop with their family leave this week for Maurice, die. where they will reside in future,. "Mr and Mrs Bishop are both we'll known in musical circles, Mr Bishop dicing successful at several musical con.petitions. At local functions thev have always been ready to assist in 'vocal work, and though their departure from the district will be regretted, they will carry with them the for happiness in their new home.
