RECOVERED IN OTAKI. Some time ago Mr. Marine missed a wallet containing the sum of £34, and lh t i matter was placed in the hands of the police, who made enquiries in and around Otaki. On Monday Detective Barling and Constable Satherley interviewed two local residents —a man and a female —with the result that they will be charged, on the 20th inst. at Palmerstoh North, before Mr. J. Logan Stout, S.M., with theft, it is understood (hat the greater portion of the money has been recovered.
