INVERCAROir.ii, Tuesday. The Invercargill Stock Agents report a follows on their fortnightly Wallacetown sale : — There was a very large entry of all classes of stock. As regards fat cattle, there was, as has been the rule of late, a large proportion of inferior sorts, and the ' bidding was rather dragging, prices dropping m consequence, especially near the conclusion of the sale of this class of stock, when several lines were passed. For the few pens of prime stuff .prices were Ll per head cheaper than at last sale est bullocks L 7 15s to L 9 10s, medium LG 5s to Lb 15s, best cows and heifers L 5 12s Gd to LO 15s, lighter weights L 4 12s Cd to L 5 10s. The store cattle were again sold af no great prices, but uearly everything changed hands Ordinary L 4 16s to L 3 15s, medium to inferior L 4 10s to L3 4s fid. 3yr-old cattle L 3 12s 6d to L 4 15s, 2 yr-old do L2ssto L 2 10s, l_yr olb do Ll 5s to Ll 10s, boilers Ll 17s Gd to L 3 7s. Fat and store sheep all sold well, 'especially Iveeding ewes. Addtnoton, Wednesday. At the Addington live stock market to day, though the yarding of stock was good it was not up to that of the previous week, with the exception of cattle, but prices generally were unchanged. Fat Lambs— A fairly large yarding, but the quality was not as good as^tuat of the previous week, though tbey were up to late rates. Freezers 13s to 16s Gd. heavy weights to 18a 9d. light and inferior 10s Gd to 12s Gd. Fat^ bheep — The yarding was somewhat smaller than last week, and was composed of a quantity of unfinished sorts, for which Slightly lower prices were obtained, but good quality sheep fetched late rates. Prime wethers 18s 8d to 225, extra heavy to 25s 6d, lighter 14s 7d, to 18s Gd, wethers and maiden ewes 17s lid to 235. prime ewes 16s to 20s, extra good to 21s, light and unfinished lis to ISs Gd. Store Cattle — A small entry. The sale was dull. Yearlings 15s to 18s Gd, 2_ to 3 yr-old heifers L3 to L3 7s Gd, 2 yr old steers 355. j ____

Sheep— 23oo penned. There was only a moderate yarding, one third of these being ot prime quality and the balance medium ewes and wethers. The market opened* strong at a price quite equal to last week's rates, but declined slightly towards • the finish. Ope extra special pen of wethers, sold by the National Mortgage Co., realised 295. ..Quotations: Best wethers 22s 6d to 24s 6d, good 19s to 21s, medium 13s to 17s Gd, best ewes 19s Gd to 21s 6d, good IGs to 18s, mediuni 12s Gd to 16s.
Lambs— B3s penned. A full yarding. In this line, with the exception of two or three pens of store lambs, the lambs were of good quality and prices were equal to last week's rates Qtfotationc: Best lambs 10s to 17s, extra to 19s 9d, good 14s to 15s fd, medium 10s Gd to 12s Gd, light 8s to 10s.
