HEDDON BUSH PRESBY TERIAN CHURCH.

ANNUAL SOCIAL. A very successful social was held m the Heddon Bush Hall on Wednesday last m connection with the Presbyterian Church. There was a good gathering present, and the varied programme consisting of songs, duets, quartettes and speeches was greatly appreciated. The Rev. Tait, who was chairman, refeerred to the object of the social, also briefly outlining the*work of the parish. Refreshments were handed round by the Heddon Bush ladies, and were enjoyed by all. The following items were niceiy rendered during the evening : — Songs, Mrs" J. B. Cowie, Miss Ritchie (Winton Miss 'Clapp (Nightcaps), Miss Ramage ana Messrs Edwards, Jamieson. Madie and Tilley ; duets by Miss Clapp and Mr Madil, Messrs Jamieson and Tilley and Mrs J. B. Cowie and Mr Tilley. Several quintettes were well rendered by the, Winton friends, and an anthem by the members of the Nightcaps choir was warmly received. Instructive and interesting speeches were delivered by the Rev. J. M. I Simpson, 8.A., and Mr Mitchell. The accompaniments were ably played by Misses Clapp and Gilmour and Mr Edwards, The usual votes of thanks to the performers, the ladies of the congregation, and the chairman brought to a close a very enloyable social.
