OAONUI BRANCH PARCELS FOR BRITAIN At the July meeting- Mrs White presided over mi attendance of 28 members. Miss J. Baylis as a new member was welcomed to the branch. Birthday sprays were presented to Mesdames L. Young, M. Gibson, Adams, R. Lusk and Miss J. Baylis. Those packing- food parcels for Gt. Britain were Mesdames Crawford, Daly, Gilberd, Simpsou and K. Young. Results of competitions were as follows:
Wandering Shilling (donated by Mrs. R. Baylis, Jnr.) was won by Mrs. M. McQuaig. Hostess Competition: Mrs. Nichol. Three Date Scones: Mrs. G. Stronge Ist., Mrs. J. Stronge 2nd., Mrs. C. Pentelow 3rd. Best Bloom: Mrs, R. Lusk Ist., Mrs. Tilley 2nd., Mrs. Pentelow 3rd. Best Shrub; Mrs. M. Gibson Ist., Mrs. C. Stronge 2nd., Mrs. J. Stronge. 3rd Hostesses were Mesdames R. Lusk, G. Lusk and M. McQuaig. Euchre Afternoon A third of a series of Euchre parties was held by the ladies of the Oaonui Branch of the W.D.F.F. Hostesses- being Mesdames L. Young, E. Knof flock and S. Pirimona. Winner of euchre prize donated by Mrs. L. Young was/ won by Mrs. J. Crawford. Competition donated by Mesdames Perimona and E. Knofflock was won by Mrs. Crawford.
