This condition i* brought about through the loss oversea* of important machinery which was to have been used in extending Government Hydro-Elect-ric plants. VOLUNTARY ECONOMY in the use of electricity ON YOUR PART will enable the Board to keep within the quota allowed by the Government. If VOLUNTARY METHODS FAIL the result will be COMPULSORY RATIONING. Avoid this Drastic Alternative ! AND —--Switch off Lights in halls, passages and rooms when not occupied. ——Don’t run electric radiators continuously; 30 minute* on. 15 minutes off would help a lot. Turn oft shed water heaters during the “off season.” Turn off household waterheaters between the hours of 4.30 p ; m. and 6 p.m. and flrom 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. every other day.
