NEW ROOMS OCCUPIED At the last meeting of the Opuuake Branch of the N. Z. Lady Galway Patriotic Guild members expressed pleasure with their new work room in the premises, recently acquired by the Hall Committee, that are hot; used for Patriotic purposes, and wished to convey their thanks to all who assisted in. any way to make the rooms so clean and comfortable. The spacious cupboalrd, large tables, chairs and. the cheery fire were much appreciated these cold days, it was stated. During the week four large cartons of goods ware packed and dispached. These comprised 123 articles of warm clothing, bed and cot covers, blankets, etc., 13 knitted scarves, 26 balaclavas, 20 pairs mittens and 3 pullovers. A further supply of khaki wool has come to hand and ladies . willing to assist can obtain supplies from Blackman’s Baketv or from the Patriotic Amusement Parlour on Friday evenings. Donations of used clothing, sock tops etc., will also he gratefully received. The next meeting is to he held at the work-room on July 31 at 2.30 p.m.
