HIBERNIAN BAIL
HELD AT PUNGAREHU A GREAT SIJCCE^ The above ball, which, was held on Thursday last, was successful in every way, a large attendance from all parts of Taranaki thoroughly enjoying a well-ar-ranged and brightly run function. The music supplied by Hook er's Merrymakers was right up to their usual high standard and several novel competitions drew big entries and evoked much merriment. The supper arrangements, which were in the hands of the ladies’ committee, appeared to meet with complete satisfaction, the wild rush for admittance to the supper-room giving the impression that quite a few were in grave doubt as to the amount in hand. The programme was arranged to suit all, old-time and modem dances being enjoyed until well after midnight. Among those present were: — Mesdames A. J. Brennan, T. N. Watt, T. Carey, J. Stevenson, F.
