WEDDING

BOURKE—FEAVER. A quiet wedding of much local interest was celebrated at St. Mary’s, Star of the Sea, Opunake on Monday May 16th. The contracting parties were Thomas William Bourke and Helena Jessica (Jessie) Feaver, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Feaver of Opunake. Rev. Father Kennedy performed the ceremony, and afterwards officiated at Nuptial Mass. The bride was given away by her father, and Mr ,W. Markham played the wedding music. Miss Margaret Feaver attended as bridesmaid and Mr. B. A. Layard carried out the duties of best man. A reception was later held at the bride’s home, a feature being the three-tier wedding cake, which was given to the bride by Mrs M. Brophy. Later Mr. and Mrs. T. Bourke left on their honeymoon which is to be spent in the south.
