We (Auckland) Starj append the words of the song : Oh, Maorilaud ! Ob, Maoriland ! Wkeie Celt and Saxon, hand in hand, Quite to raise through southern seas The Red Cross Hag to every breeze;. In every age, in every clime; The banner of our ancient brave, Ever in Maoriland to wave. Oh Maorilaud! Oh, valiant band ! Who came from England's happy strand From Caledonia's storied hills ; From where sad harp of Erin thrills, and Hail Columbia! here's our hand, Great offspring of our mother land ; For where, all distant lands within. We hear our tongue, we claim our kin. Then here's*to thee, fair Maoriland. Throngh the long ages thou shall stand, The Britain of the Southern Sea, Land of the brave, home of the free. The " Cross and Stars " shall ever wave, Where e'er Pacific's waters lave ;
WhilsfcEnglisu tongue true hearts unite, That flag means honour, strength, and right.
