The China-Japan War.
Shanghai, November 20.
The Chinese troops have repulsed the Japanese at Molten Pass; also at Ching Shan. The Manchuriau cavalry have, too, harassed the Japanese rear column. A Japanese transport has hcen burned. She was crowded with troops and coolies to the number of a thousand. They had a very narrow escape. The Chinese apparently intend to resist the Japanese attack by land on Port Arthur. Si. Petersburg, November 21. Two Eussian cruisers will couvey strong reinforcements to the garrison at Vladivostock. Shanghai, November 21.
An engagement took place between the Chinese and the Japanese on the mountain passes a few miles north of Port Arthur. The Chinese retreated after obstinate fighting. The loss on both sides was severe.
