In connection with the Waikato Hunt Club's races at Cambridge on Wednesday next a special train will run from Thames to Cambridge. The train will leaveTaeroa at ten minutes to nine and arrive at Cambridge at ten minutes to twolve. The return special will leave Cambridge at 5.40 p.m. There was a fair attendance at the Criterion Theatre on Wednesday evening, when a performance was given by the Valentine Company. The pictures shown were particularly good, being clear and with very little flicker. Enjoyable items were given by Miss Esther Norden, Mr T. Shaw 'Valentine, and Mr C. C. Valentine. To-morrow afternoon at two o'clock the Thames Valley Fanners' Agency will se]l at its mart, Wharf Street, a quantity of roses and pot plants on account of Messrs D. Messrs Thompson and Warrington notify that the well-known Clydesdale stallion " Salisbury's Hope " and the trotting- stallion "Honduras" will stand this season at Mill Road, Paeroa, and travel the surrounding district. To-morrow, August 31st, is the day which was observed in the Northumbrian Church in commemoration of S. Aidan, Bishop. There will be a celebration of Holy Communion in 8. Aidan's Church, Karangahake, tomorrow morning at 8.30. The dedication festival of this church will be kept up on Sunday, when the Rev. Dr O'Callaghan, vicar of Thames, will conduct the children's service, and preach at S. Aidan's at Evensong. Dr O'Callaghan will preach at 8. Paul's, Paeroa, on Sunday morning at 11.
