PROTESTS TO EGYPT
Restrictions On Shipping Through Suez NZPA—Copyright CAIRO, Dec. 13. The United States and Norway have joined Britain and other countries in protesting to Egypt against restrictions imposed on shipping passing through the Suez canal. Notes stating the views of the United States and Norway were delivered today at the Egyptian Foreign Office. The Acting Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Farag. said yesterday that the Egyptian Government was considering the application of military traffic orders governing navigation along the Suez canal. That would not mean that Egypt was relinquishing her rights to control canal traffic, he stressed.
