FOOD FOR YUGOSLAVIA

United States Emergency Measure Endorsed NZPA—Copyright Rec. 8.20 p.m. WASHINGTON, Dec. 13. After two days of stormy debate, the House of Representatives today passed President Truman’s 38,000,000-dollar Food for Yugoslavia Bill. Government supporters contended that relief was essential to prevent Marshal Tito’s drought-stricken country from succumbing to Moscow. Critics argued that Marshal Tito is still a Communist who could not be depended on. The Senate passed the measure last Monday. It now goes to a joint conference for ironing out minor differences in the Senate-House versions.
