NEUROLOGICAL POST
Reversal Of Decision Likely Next Thursday night the Otago Hospital Board will probably reverse its decision not to appoint a neurologist to the Dunedin Hospital. Last night the chairman, Dr Moody, asked leave to suspend standing orders so that he could move a motion relating to the associate professorship of neurology. After a brief discussion in committee, Dr Moody withdrew his suggestion and gave notice of motion to rescind the decision not to appoint a neurologist without advertising. Dr Moody indicated that one of the conditions of the appointment of. a neurologist would be that his duties did not overlap those of certain members of Dr Palmer’s staff, whose routine was well established. He was discussing further conditions when the board went into committee.
