Appointments Recommended

PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. The Minister of Maori Affairs, Mr Corbett, announced today that the following eight additional women welfare officers had been recommended to the Public Service Commission for appointment:— Auckland, Miss E. O’Donoghue; Wellington, Miss M. Petricevich; Kaikohe, Miss Te Arari Tois; Paeroa, Miss Emily Ngakuru; Taumarunui-South Taupo, Mrs H. Jorgensen; Whakatane, Miss Annie Delamere; Gisborne, Mrs H. Waititi. In the event of Miss _ Petricevich being appointed to Wellington, Mrs Mary Brown Johnson has been recommended for appointment at Auckland. All the nominees are Maoris, with the exception of Mrs Brown and Miss O’Donoghue.
