JOCKEY SUSPENDED

Sequel Jo Incident At Otaki

PA WELLINGTON. Dec. 14. . The Trentham jockey, S. Bryce, was suspended for three months from today by the Wellington District Committee following the hearing of a charge against Bryce (rider of Bambton) of striking the runner-up, Super Duke, over the head with his whip in the closing stages of the Te Horo Handicap at Otaki on November 11. Bambton finished first in the Te Horo Handicap, but the Judicial Committee of the Otaki Club did not alter the placings after their inquiry. The placings were subsequently reversed by the Wellington District Committee on appeal.
