Promotions And Transfers PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. The following Police promotions and transfers, effective from December 16, were announced today:— Superintendents: Inspector J. Abel (Wellington) is transferred to Palmerston North where Superintendent H. J. Joyce is retiring. Inspector H. H. Russeil (Invercargill). Inspector R. Thompson (Wellington) is transferred to Hamilton where Superintendent L. R. Capp is retiring. Inspectors: Sub-inspector W. McLennan (Wellington wharf) to be in charge of Wellington CIB. Sub-inspector J. Southworth (Masterton) is transferred to Auckland. Sub-inspector D. R. Sugrue (Wellington). Sub-inspectors: Senior Sergeant R. T. Kearton (Auckland). Senior Sergeant G. S. Norris (Gisborne) is transferred to Masterton. Senior Sergeant W. R. Miller (Petone) is transferred to Wellington. Senior Sergeants: Sergeant A. J. Rush (Hamilton) is transferred to Wellington. Sergeant S. J. Henderson (Christchurch). Sergeant P. P. O’Boyle (Auckland). Sergeant D. M. Campbell (Gisborne). Sergeant J. H. Quartley (Rotorua) is transferred to Hamilton.
