SERVICE WITH NZWAAF

Many Inquiries In London NZPA Special Correspondent Rec. 7 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 13. RNZAF headquarters in Loncfon already had 200 inquiries for the 100 posts in the WAAF in the Dominion since the offer of a two-year engagement was announced a fortnight ago. Formal application forms have been despatched and it is expected that the selection board will start work during the first half of January. It is expected that the first draft of servicewomen will sail for New Zealand in the Atlantis towards the end of March.

“Although it is not known how many definite applications will result from these inquiries, the initial response is most satisfactory,’’ said Wing Commander K. W. Trigance, commanding officer of RNZAF headquarters in London.
