BOUND FOR KOREA

First New Zealanders Leave PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 7. The advance party of 20 officers and men of K Force with the Commander of the force, Brigadier R. S. Park, C.8.E., left Whenuapai by air for Korea at 6 o’clock this morning. They travelled in two RNZAF Dakota aircraft of No. 41 Transport Squadron piloted by the squadron’s Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader J. C. Murray and Flight Lieutenant D. M. Hutton. Officers from the Northern Military District were at the aerodrome to see the party leave. It flew to Sydney where it .will transfer to an aircraft of Qantas Empire Airways for the remainder of the journey.
