RIVERS REPORT

Good Prospects For Week-end

The river reports received by the Otago Acclimatisation Society yesterday indicate that the Mataura, Mimihau and Wyndham Rivers are all clear and in perfect order for fly fishing, while the Pomahaka, Waipahi, Catlins and Owaka Rivers are also clear. No report was received on the condition of the Shag River, but it is expected to be in good order after the recent rains and may be well worth a visit. All districts report strong prevailing winds, but indications are that it will be fine for the week-end.
