CALENDAR FOR APRIL
Work for the month may be summarised as under:—
Apply top-dressings of lime to paddocks in line for such treatment. Artificial fertilisers can be distributed in the spring. Flush up breeding ewes on fresh green feed, preparatory to releasing rams into the flock. Crutch ewes prior to tupping, and .check for foot-rot.
Cut front teeth from lambs where required to fatten on swede or turnip tops if necessary. Cut and trim gorse hedges and burn trimmings.
Give attention to wire fences as time permits.
