SHIPPING

Coastal movements comprise the bulk of shipping activity at Dunedin this week. Yesterday the Kairanga arrived from Timaru and Auckland to discharge cargo, while the Holmdale was expected to leave late last night for Oamaru, Wellington, Wanganui. Another coastal vessel, the Waimarino, which is due from Bluff to-day to load for Auckland, will sail about Friday. Two other coastal snips, the Holmburn and Gale, are expected from Wellington to-morrow and Friday respectively. No advice has yet been received about the sailing date of the Kauri which is unloading timber at Birch street wharf. She may go to Auckland.
