CARS COLLIDE
TWO PERSONS IN HOSPITAL Special to the Daily Times OAMARU Jan. 21. A car driven by Trevor Jackson, of Christchurch, collided with a car travelling south in the same direction and driven by E. R. Dennison, of Oamaru, at 6 o’clock to-night at the corner of Clark’s Lane road, just north of Maheno. Two persons in Jackson’s car sufficed injuries which necessitated their admission to the Oamaru Public Hospital, but the driver and another passenger escaped with minor injuries. Those admitted to hospital were:— Mrs Fraser, Burwood avenue, Christchurch, head injuries, bruises and shock; and Ronald Thomas Lyall, Worcester street, Christchurch, injuries to ribs and arm. M. Carson of Breeze road, Christchurch, received injuries to his ankle which required attention at the hospital, while the driver, Jackson, who resides at Burwood avenue, Christchurch, escaped with minor cuts. A passenger in the first car, Dennison, and two other passengers in the second car were not injured although both cars were badly damaged.
