NEW EXPORT SCHEDULE
New- export schedule rates for sheep and lambs came into operation in Canterbury on Monday. During the export season it is customary for the schedules in Otago and Southland to be similar to that operating in Canterbury. The new Canterbury rates are.— Lambs.—Primes: 20/36, 12d; 37/42, Hid: 43/50, lid; 51/56, 10id. Seconds: 20/36. 103 d; 37/42, I°?s 43/ 7 5 % Wethers.— Primes: U/48, 7Jd 49/64. 6|d; 65/90, 6£d for 641 b equals 36/8d per head maximum. Seconds: U/64. 6|d; 65/72, 6gd for 641 b, equals 34s per h Ewe^-u74 U ß m 4!d; 49/64. 43d; 65/90, 4Jd for 631 b, equals 25/4 per head maximum.
The installation of new equipment at the radio meteorloglcal station at Raoul (Sunday Island), the largest of the Kermadec oroup, has been, completed, A Government engineer, Mr G. Puhey. who has been engaged on this work for nearly a year* returned on the Maui Pomare. Raoul, 600 miles north-east of New Zealand, is the only weather station between Auckland and Suva.
