Rec. 10 pm. LONDON. Dec. 16. A turkey breeder, a former wing commander. Mr C. Bowley, with Christmas approaching, did everything he could tCunk of to make his 12,000 turkeys “ thief proof.” He floodlit the entire area of his 160-acre holding at Binstead. Sussex, tethered Alsatians and bull terriers round the boundaries, and had a guard patrolling with a shotgun. Nevertheless, turkeys are so valuable that thieves managed to “ snaffle ” 450 of them.
