Heavy Duty Truck chassis with the Thornton Four Rear Wheel Drive bogie, this specialised unit enables you to go almost anywhere with the greatest loads. Dnly the Thornton has the automatic locking NO-SPIN differential, which provides positive drive to both rear axles, plus differential action when required. If the contour of the ground requires the wheels of one axle ;o travel further than those of the other, the NO-SPIN in the gear box mtomatically differentiates to permit the required over-running of one ixle. This eliminates "axle-fight”, prevents damage to vital parts of the tssembly and prolongs tyre life. When a NO-SPIN is in each rear axle as well as in the gear case, positive and independent drive is provided to sach of the four rear wheels. If three of the wheels lose all traction due o mud, sand, or “off the highway” operation, the fourth still drives the ruck. You can select whichever model suits your requirements best i choice of gear ratios ranging from 7.5 tol down to 115 to 1 according to nodel, and with an option of Bor 16 forward speeds.
