STURMERS ARRIVE
SMALL QUANTITY SOLD VEGETABLES AVAILABLE This week Delicious apples continued to reach the market, heavy supplies being released from cool store. Choice,. wellcoloured apples are finding a ready sale. A small quantity of Sturmers became available yesterday, and were quickly accepted by the trade, While a few large sizes were sought after as cooking apples. No information about the arrival 6f pears has yet been received in Dunedin. Rhubarb is still reaching the market in large quantities from North Canterbury, and prices remain at about Is 3d to Is 4d a bunch. There has been a better inquiry for tree tomatoes, prices of which range from Is to Is 2d. Supplies of cauliflowers are short, but cabbages are more plentiful. Most of the other kinds of vegetables are in good supply. Swedes are very plentiful, choice lettuce is in demand, while carrots and parsnips are short of requirements. Both leeks and beetroot are plentiful.
