German Proceeds To Prison Along Path of Flowers
Rec. 8 p.m. FRANKFURT, July 4. The town chairman of the Social Democrat Party and former Mayor of Ulmbach, Fritz Schoenauer, went to prison in style to-day with flowers in his path, a long procession and a brass band, The United States Military Court sentenced him to 10 days’ imprisonment for smashing head-on into an American car. Demonstrators felt the sentence was imposed because Schoenauer criticised the Military Government during the trial.
