Jottings Winning Cheer paid over a score when he fin shed second to Triumphal in the Members’ Handicap at Wingatui. Siegtone is coming back to form and the Siegfried mare should not be long in improving on her third at Wingatui on Monday. Lilli Marlene There was solid support for Lilli Marlene in the Southern Handicap, but after being one of the leaders into the straight she did not finish on and she was eighth to cross the line. ' Nearing Winning Form Magnaform should soon improve on his fourth in the Members' Handicap. If'he had got a clear run in the straight he would have been closer ud. Froip Francolln Victory Flight, Special Flight, and Super Flight were all got from Francolin. Victory Flight being by Man’s Pal. Special Flight by Salmagundi, and Super Flight by Mizami. Peters Out Robot has developed into a good jumper but he still peters out in the closing stages of his races. He should go close to winning a race of a mile and a-half before long. Finished Last * Alamode showed speed in the Members’ Handicap while his condition lasted, but he was beaten a long way from home and finished last. Team of Hurdlers With Batal, Young Bob, and Siegform to represent his stable, A. E. Didham, should have his share of success in hurdle events during the winter. Between them the hbrses named have collected two wins and a third at the Wingatui meeting. Safe Jumper Ballyaggan is now 11 years old and not likely to show much improvement. He lacks speed between the fences, but is a fairly safe conveyance and always has a jumper’s chance in "his class. Decisive Win Backed from 8/9 in the betting on Saturday to 3/3 on Monday Minion won the Aerodrome Handicap decisively after being last in the early running. He is trained by C. G. Humphries, the trainer of Dark Arrow. Every Chance The Royal Chief fnare Bonny Royal was restive at the barrier in the Southern Handicap but finally got away well from the outside position. She led the field for most of the journey but in the run home drifted to seventh place. Promising Sort Among the more promising runners seen in the Trial Stakes at Wingatui was King of Erin, who made a bold showing to finish second. A two-year-old by Royal Chief from Irish Fling, by Woodend from Full Fling, he is trained by F. J. Boyle at Heddon Bush. Solid Performances . Sir Raimond has now run two; solid races at the Wingitui meeting without having the best of luck in the running. In the Southern Handicap he ran very wide at the turn into the straight and just missed paying a dividend. The going has not troubled him. Showed Speed Scuttle showed a nice turn of speed in the Trial Stakes and looks certain to develop into a good winner for D. P. Wilsons stable. A two-year-old gelding by Salmagundi, he was got from Trivet and so is a half-brother to that smart performer Frances.
