AIR OFFICER’S APPOINTMENT

N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, June 8. Air Vice-marshal S. F. Vincent, who during 1942 was Deputy Chief of Air Staff, R.N.Z.A.F., has been appointed Air Officer Commanding No. 11 Group Fighter Command. He is probably the only pilot who has shot down an enemy aircraft while flying a single-seater fighter in two world wars. .
