Loading Cargo At Dunedin for United States

The wealth of the Otago province is represented in some of the commodities • comprising the Dunedin cargo of the Ellerman Line’s freighter City of Chelmsford, which is at present loading wool, rabbit skins and pelts at Birch street wharf for New York and Boston. A Daily Times photographer captured the activity alongside the ship yesterday afternoon when some of the 1800 bales of wool which the ship will take from Dunedin were being swung into the holds. Dunedin is the main export port for rabbit skins in New Zealand and the City of Chelmsford, is loading American consignments which have accumulated after recent sales. Before leaving New Zealand, the ship will load cargoes at Wellington, Napier and Auckland; She will sail from Dunedin to-morrow.
