BOXING
The match committee of the Oamaru Amateur Boxing Association has been successful in matching some of the best South Island amateurs for the first tournament of the season to be held in the Opera House next Wednesday. Competitors from the West Coast, Waimate, and Dunedin will take part, and the prospects point to a first-class tournament.
