FAIR BUT COLD The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued t{ie following official weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone centred south-east of the South Island is moving slowly eastwards. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate northeast winds predominating. Weather.—Fair but cold. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather was cold in Dunedin yesterday and only lhr 6min of sunshine was registered: The maximum temperature was 46.7 deg, the minimum 40.5 deg, and the grass minimum 34.8. A total rainfall of 0.29 in was recorded and a south-east wind blew during the day. The barometer maintained a high level, reading 3D.7oin (1040 millibars) at fnidnight.
