Sir.—lt seems to me that a mountain is being made out of a molehill. Compare the population of this country with that of the British Isles, or even England alone, and how far would our ration go? Even if we went without butter and meat for a, y ear .- benefit would it be to those in Britain. Hi w much would it increase their rations over that period? Sacrifice is a grand thing, but only if it is useful.—l am. etc..
