BOROVANSKY BALLET
J. C. Williamson’s Borovansky Ballet, which is to begin a season at His Majesty’s Theatre on November 22, is enjoying successful seasons throughout New Zealand. The Wellington season, which extended over three weeks, proved far too brief, as large numbers of people were unable to obtain seats, though additional matinees were presented. The first programme which is t’o be presented for four nights and a Wednesday matinee, will include "Les Sylphides,” “ Coppelia ” (the girl with the enamelled eyes), and “Le Beau Danube.”’ On Thursday and Friday. November 27 and 28. " Carnaval " “ Giselle ” and “ Capriccio Italien ” will be produced, and on Saturday. November 29, and following four nights,' “ The Swan Lake,” ” Scheherazade,” “ Spectre de la Rose ” and “ Minuit Au Bal ” will be staged. On Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6, the final programme will consist of “ Concerto,” “ Terra Australis.” ” Sigrid ” and ” L’Amour Ridicule." The company includes a full symphony orthestra.
