INTERCLUB SWIMMING

The Otago Swimming Centre will hold its first interclub carnival of the season at the Municipal Baths on Wednesday night. Much interest will centre in the appearance of Miss Ngaire Lane, who is preparing for her Olympic backstroke trial, and in the same event a starter will be Miss Jean Stewart, the New Zealand intermediate girls’ champion. Miss Betty Casey, formerly of Wellington, and holder of the three national women’s freestyle titles, will make her first appearance in Dunedin interclub competition.
