AMENITIES FOR CHILDREN
Sir, —With an influx of-people next year there will be some children in the crowd. Now take a look at the playing areas and appliances for children. There are not many of them usable. The swings generally have a clay puddle in frdnt of them. In most cases it is a scene of devastation, and the war cannot be blamed for the situation because the same conditions existed before the war. I am sure people would give well if there was a street day appeal.—l am, etc., City Dweller.
