AUCKLAND-COROMANDEL SERVICE P.A. AUCKLAND, Oct. 4. The largest steel welded ship ever to be built in New Zealand and the largest commercial vessel built here since before the war, the passenger and cargo motor ship Coromel for the Auckland-Coromandel services was launched from Mason Bros.’ Engineering Company’s yards to-day. When completed, the vessel will, have a capacity of 90 tons of cargo and accommodation for 170 passengers. Her cruising speed will be 10 knots.
