SWEEPING VICTORY

NORTHUMBERLAND OUTCLASSED AUSTRALIAN RUGBY TOURISTS Rec. 11 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 4. The Australian Rugby team beat Northumberland and Durham 49 to nil after leading 16 to nil at half-time. The Wallabies were yards faster than the home players, infinitely fitter, and deserved their biggest score of the tour to date. Their pack, from early in the game, dominated the set scrums and gave their backs a feast of the ball. The home tackling was woefully weak. Tries were scored for Australia by Eastes (4). Cremin. Mcßride, Fuller, Kearney, Walker, Bourke, and Davis. Allen and McMasters each converted three tries and Allen kicked a field goal.
