TENNIS CLUB OPENINGS

The Awamoa Tennis Club held a very successful opening day on Saturday afternoon. About 70 players were present, and the president, the Rev. L W. Rothwell, spoke briefly, on the club's activities. The olub patron. Mr J. Gerrie, officially opened the courts, and the afternoon was spent in playing friendly games - * The Rev. A. Marshall officially opened the St. Paul's courts, there being about 25 players present. The president of the North Otago Lawn Tennis Association, Mr G. Knowles, wished the club a successful season.
