PATHFINDERS’ CLUB

Mr E. T. Williams was in the chair at the final meeting of the season of the Pathfinders’ Club. The junior members gave an exhibition of tumbling and horse and bar work, and the senior members staged a horse and parallel bar and horizontal bar demonstration. The following trophies won during year were presented by Mrs E. T. Wililams:— Sandow Cup, W. Duncan; senior gymnastic shield, E. C. Smith; Wilson Brothers’ Shield, D. Lawrie; James Shirkey Memorial Qup, R. Ottley; cup for most progressive junior, V. Sandri; A. A. Barsdell Memorial Cup, W. Duncan. Gymnastic certificates; Seniors—E. C. Smith 1, G. H. Wilson and W. Duncan (equal) 2; juniors —M. Hicks 1, R. Ottley 2, T. Stamford 3. Sandow competitors; Seniors —W. Duncan 1, G. H. Wilson 2, E. C. Smith 3; juniors —R. Ottley 1, M. Hicks 2, T. Staniford -3. Service badges and silver stars were presented by Miss Gcnge. Mr George White, who was a member of the gymnastic club over 50 years ago, gave a short talk. Items were presented by Messrs E. T. Wilson (song), W. Duncan (pianoforte) and R. Tully (tap dance).
