SPECIAL MEETING
APPEAL TO TRADES COUNCIL SECRET BALLOT PROPOSAL p.A. WELLINGTON. Aug. 14. The monthly stop-work meeting of the Wellington Watersiders’ Union asked the Wellington Trades Council to-day to call a special meeting to discuss the secret ballot proposal. It was stated after the meeting that speakers’ opinions thoroughly opposed the Government proposal and no one spoke in favour of it.
